Our Campaign

Nurses see the effects of hospital consolidation and corporatization every day

That’s why National Nurses United is taking action. We are the largest and fastest growing Union of Registered Nurses in the United States, at almost 225,000 members.

As part of our unwavering campaign to guarantee equal access to high quality health care for all, we’ve launched the Too Big to Care project to draw attention to the role that the uncontrolled growth of hospital corporations plays in driving up the cost of care while compromising quality and enforcing inequality.

We advocate key reforms to counter the ever-growing power of hospital corporations including stronger regulations on hospital mergers and acquisitions, a greater voice in patient care for nurses through expanded protections for those seeking to form unions, and greater oversight and leverage for patients through the establishment of a universal single-payer health care program in the United States.
